Google announced Wednesday that it has launched a new iPhone application that ties together its various services--search, Gmail, Calendar, Reader and Maps--into one interface.
If you're an iPhone user you can see the interface at Google.com.
In a statement, Google said it is building the interface via browser technologies such as AJAX (Techmeme).
It's likely that the iPhone will be a key testing ground as Google works on its mobile software and bids for wireless spectrum. Google has been launching new mobile features such as My Location. Google said:
Google's overall goal is to provide users with access to information, wherever they are. This commitment is device-independent, and we are working to develop new mobile technologies that are faster, easier to use, and available on more devices.
