Sustainable Silicon Valley chooses Hara software for managing its environmental and emissions info.

What environmental management tool are some of the biggest technology companies in the business using? If they are members of the Sustainable Silicon Valley organization, they will soon have the option of using Hara's Environmental and Energy Management application.

Sustainable Silicon Valley, which now represents close to 120 businesses in the region including Adove, Advanced Micro Devices, Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Intel and PG&E,  is using the Hara platform to help its members measure their carbon and water footprints, determine reduction targets, manage their conservation efforts and use of recycled water, and produce reports on all of the above. The organization is transitioning over to the application (although membership does mean they'll necessarily take advantage of all the benefits).

Incidentally, Hara has just released a new version of its flagship software, featuring new functionality such as the ability to integrate directly with management systems being used by utility companies.
