Gregory Binger joins Lycos Asia as general counsel

Gregory Binger is Lycos Asia’s new General Counsel, heading Lycos Asia's legal department and manage all legal matters of the company's operations across Southeast Asia, Greater China and India.

Gregory Binger 27 April 2001 - Gregory Binger is Lycos Asia’s new General Counsel, heading Lycos Asia's legal department and managing all legal matters of the company's operations across Southeast Asia, Greater China and India.

He has 13 years of legal experience in various technology industries, particularly online services and the Internet, and has worked for global Internet companies such as Yahoo!, Microsoft Network and CompuServe.

Before joining Lycos Asia, Binger was the senior legal manager for Yahoo! UK & Ireland. Prior to that, he was with Baker & McKenzie solicitors in Sydney specializing in IT law and intellectual property. During his three years in Australia, he helped launch Yahoo! Australia & New Zealand as well as ninemsn (the Microsoft Network affiliate). Prior to that, he worked for CompuServe in the UK and co-authored the book Computer Evidence: A Forensic Investigations Handbook. Binger has also worked in the Congress of the United States as well as in private legal practice in Washington DC.

Binger holds an LLB from University of London (University College) and a Masters Degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. He is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.
