GuruNet changes name, direction

A full-on revamp for Internet search engine to be relaunched as 'Atomica'

GuruNet is getting a makeover. The one-question, one-answer search engine company has changed its name to "Atomica" and brought in a slew of new executives. Chief executive Eric Tilenius said the company will still offer its "answer engine", free of charge to all. But it will also be creating specialised versions of the engine to "address the needs of corporations" as a way to generate revenue, Tilenius said.

Atomica, nee GuruNet, is one of several dot-coms that have seen the shifting venture capital winds of late and are either changing direction or putting themselves up for sale
