ICANN kicks off domain meetings

Domain name creation and elections under the spotlight in Cairo

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is meeting in Cairo this week.

The organisation is set to decide on whether to create more top-level domain names -- such as .firm, .shop or even .sucks -- and how to elect general members of the worldwide board that doles out such domains.
