Intel, AMD, Motorola to team on chip making technology
Intel, AMD, Motorola and the US's Department of Energy's Virtual National Lab will today announce that they have teamed up to develop a breakthrough chip manufacturing technology.
The group claims that the technology will allow chips 100 times more powerful than those available today.
An 8pm UK time teleconference is scheduled to include speakers such as Federico Pena, secretary of the Department of Energy, and Gordon Moore, chairman Emeritus of Intel.
