You may have noticed that there's a new guy in the masthead with me here at The Apple Core. Starting today David Morgenstern will be co-writing TAC with me as we ramp up the blogging team here at ZDNet.

David and I go way back. We've both owned Macs since 1984, wrote for MacWEEK back in the day and were section editors of The Mac Bible from Peachpit Press.

David was chairman of the board of BMUG, the Berkeley Macintosh User Group, in the late 1980s and is a co-founder of BMUGWest, a user group in San Francisco where he still attends monthly meetings.

David's been writing about the Mac professionally since 1988 including MacWEEK, Ziff Davis' trade newsweekly, eMediaweekly, MacWEEK's successor publication that focused on multi-platform professional content creation.

In 2002 David returned to Ziff Davis Media and helped grow and manage the news department of Ziff Davis Internet. He covered enterprise storage and the Mac. He later became an executive editor at eWEEK and contributed opinion on storage, desktop systems, including the Mac and Vista.

You can see from David's pedigree that he's a perfect addition to The Apple Core. I welcome him to these pages and hope that you will join me in doing the same.
