IT spending in China reached $13 bln in 2003

According to China Technology Market Association (CTMA), more than 260,000 technology contracts were registered in China in 2003. Transaction volume hit 1.08 trillion yuan ($13 bln), which was 155 times that of 1984. Over 1 mln people were employed in the information technology field.
