Jamming with new MP3 player
Start-up I-Jam Multimedia Corp. plans to unveil its new MP3 player at the MP3 Summit '99 in La Jolla, California.
The I-Jam player will ship with 32MB of memory -- enough to play about 30 minutes of near-CD-quality digital music. The player will include an FM radio. Currently, Diamond Multimedia Inc. is the only major company with a player in the market. Both Creative Technologies Ltd. and Thomson Consumer Electronics plan to release players this year.
