Magellan gets InfoSpace directories

The Web search engine market continues edging towards consolidation with The McKinley Group saying it has licensed InfoSpace's phone and E-mail directories for its Magellan Online Internet Guide.

The InfoSpace directory has phone numbers of 112 million U.S. and Canadian businesses. The phone and E-mail directories are available at www.mckinley.com. McKinley reportedly also plans to license InfoSpace's Neighbourhood Search, allowing location-specific searching.

InfoSpace last week licensed its directories to the Lycos Web search service.
