In case you don't know us all, the team (from left to right) is: editorial director Brian Haverty, reviews editor Craig Simms, travel-tech editor and sub-editor Irene Mickaiel (kneeling), assistant sub-editor Corinne Reichert, news editor Suzanne Tindal (kneeling), then, last but not least, journalists Luke Hopewell, Michael Lee and Josh Taylor.

If you were tuned in this year, you would have been on a security rollercoaster, with Sony, Vodafone and Telstra all having mega data breaches. You also would have seen Telstra and NBN Co signing definitive agreements and Apple releasing a new iPhone and duking it out with Samsung over patents. In fact, it was a heavily legal year, with everyone suing everyone else at the drop of a hat.

But, whatever happened, you, the readers, kept coming back for the latest news, reviews, photos and videos. We love your passion — it's what makes this job fun.

So, for all the comments, emails, views and downloads on ZDNet Australia this year, thank you.

Don't worry. We'll be posting important news as it happens over the Christmas and new year break, as well as a few special stories here and there.

We can't wait to see you again in the new year so we can bring you the latest and greatest in news and reviews for 2012.

Have a fun-filled break!

The ZDNet Australia team.

PS: in case you missed it on Nerdcam, here's Luke using his iPhone to play "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".
