New Blog Focused on Mailing and Fulfillment

Nearly every decent-sized business deals with regular mailings and fulfillment of incoming account information. Yet we sometimes fail to recognize this area of business as both a significant cost center and also a terrific marketing opportunity.

One of Doc's regular sources is a terrific website for the printing industry called WhatTheyThink. It's really a network of sites, and they just launched a new blog which touches on one of my favorite subjects: mailing and fulfillment. Nearly every decent-sized business deals with regular mailings and fulfillment of incoming account information. Yet we sometimes fail to recognize this area of business as both a significant cost center and also a terrific marketing opportunity.

So, of course, as soon as I heard about it, I clicked my way over to the new blog, Marketing Powers Activate. It’s a rich tapestry focused on educating the printing and publishing community about how evolving technologies can fuel opportunities in direct mail, fulfillment, and workflow.

“We are delighted to make this new content offering available to our readers,” said Doc’s good friend Randy Davidson, President of WhatTheyThink.

Industry veteran and journalist Chantal Todé will be managing Marketing Powers Activate for WhatTheyThink.  Additional content will be contributed by authors from WhatTheyThink, prominent industry analysts, and other thought leaders. This new blog will be a catalyst for a lively exchange of the most current thinking and a variety of viewpoints in the fields of direct mail, fulfillment, and workflow.

Todé is an experienced writer and copy editor with in-depth knowledge of direct marketing, direct mail and postal issues, the retail industry, digital print, new media, business-to-consumer marketing, and marketing agencies. Her specialties include researching and writing news analyses and in-depth features.

So far Doc says the content has been top notch. Definitely a blog to keep your eyes on if you deal in these two important areas of print management.
