News Burst: 50% Net sales and top 5 by 2001 says Acer
In a bold move Acer has said it will move into the top five PC vendors in the world within 3 years.
Acer also said that it will focus increasingly on direct-style Internet based sales, in a move designed to combat the Net presence of direct selling rivals like Gateway and Dell, and expects such sales to account for 50% of all units sold by 2001.
