Unit volume growth in the worldwide PC market is expected to grow by 11 percent this year, but concerns over the health of the Asian and Russian economies could still bring problems in future quarters, according to a study released today by International Data Corp.
IDC estimates that vendor shipments will grow by 12.2 percent in the second half of 1998, and said that global PC shipments increased by 9.6 percent during the first half of the year.
