News Burst: S3 buys Diamond
Diamond Multimedia Systems has confirmed that it has entered into "a definitive agreement" to be bought by chip manufacturer S3.
In what S3 describes as a strategic move to capitalise on high growth areas such as home networking and internet appliances, S3 will acquire Diamond in a purchase transaction in exchange for S3 common stock.
