No iiNet freebies for Netspace users
Unmetered access for Netspace users to iView and the iTunes store via iiNet's free zone will not be happening in the near future, according to the internet service provider's CEO Michael Malone.

Despite iiNet completing its $40 million takeover of Netspace last week, Malone told ZDNet Australia that the internet service provider currently has no plans to change products or to extend free zone services to Netspace customers.
"Our immediate priority is to merge the networks wherever possible, so we're not paying for everything twice. Beyond that, no, there are no current plans to modify the existing Netspace product line-up," he said.
A statement on the Netspace website confirms this, stating that the company has become a subsidiary of iiNet but would retain the same products and prices. Malone did not, however, rule out offering iiNet services to Netspace customers in the future.
"It would be great if we could get there one day, particularly with IPTV, which we see as a serious disruptor. But that sort of thing will be fleshed out once we've had a chance to talk with the Netspace team and work it all out," he said.
Malone said he expected the integration of the two networks to be completed in the next 12 to 18 months.
