Oh, the E911 ruling free-for-all on Slashdot!

Last I checked, Slashdot's VoIP Providers Given 120 Days to Provide 911 Service had more than 600 comments.

The usual Slashdot rabble and rant: 

*Reflexive Libertarians who don't want the government to regulate anything;

*Practical technocrats who realize that VoIP E911 in 120 days isn't as easy as it sounds;

*A healthy skepticism of big telcos;

*"You're clueless" invective directed at other posters;

*Suggested solutions ranging in credibility from stuff that ought to get them hired to theories about as scientifically valid as perpetual motion machines.
