Only 5% of mortgages will be obtained online in 2009

For 2004, JupiterResearch lowered the percentage of online mortgages to 1.9%, or $28 bln, of the total market. The firm had initially projected 2.4%, or $27 bln. For 2009, 5%, or $74 bln, of all home mortgages are expected to be obtained online, according to JupiterResearch.
