(To the developers at least...)

Palm will use its developer conference later today to reveal upgrades to its handheld devices.

The PalmSource conference will see a test version of its latest operating system unveiled. Version 5 is aimed at making handhelds more powerful and secure.

It will not be ready to ship until the summer but when its does, it will also have increased capabilities for connecting to wireless and corporate networks.

There are also rumours that the conference delegates will be treated to the unveiling of a low-cost colour PDA and upgraded version of the higher end m500 series PDA.
