Random House Ventures has made a strategic investment in Xlibris, a digital publishing firm. The companies did not release financial terms of the deal. Xlibris manages book design and publication, and it stores book contents so that books can be printed on demand. The books are available through traditional and online retail and distribution channels, as well as at Xlibris' Web site. -- Margaret Kane, ZDNet News
