Red Boxes clever with K6 workstations
Red Box will start shipping AMD K6 MMX-based workstations next month.
The Winstation Pro machines are aimed at high-end animation, video, multimedia and games applications markets. They are available with 200 and 233MHz CPUs and also incorporate Intel's TX chipset with Universal Serial Bus (USB) support, Quantum Ultra DMA/33 IDE hard drives and 3D graphics accelerators.
Prices start at £2,150, although a system without 3D accelerators is also available for £1,999.
