Router shipments up 14% in 2005

According to Infonetics Research, the global enterprise market shipped 14% more routers in 2005 than 2004. Despite that growth, pricing pressures actually caused a 3% decline in overall revenues to $3.3 bln, down from $3.4 bln in 2004. Secure router revenues on a YTY basis grew by 121% to $803 mln in 2005; shipments nearly tripled.
