Skype having login and call problems

Skype is having sign-in and communication issues, the company said on Thursday.

According to Skype's Heartbeat status page, some Skype users "may have problems signing in to Skype and making calls".

"We're investigating and hope to have more details to share soon," the brief post added.

UPDATE (1:45pm): The post has been updated to include lengthy instructions for those who want to sign in to Skype again. Mac users only have four steps to follow, while Windows users have 12 that need to be carried out. The steps include the deletion of a shared .xml file.
