Something you should know about Skype: you'll only read it here

I was installing the latest Skype earlier this week.

Subsequent to doing so, I discovered something you should know.

First, the Skype software has awful problems with some "press 1" voice-menu customer services. I used my Skype connection to call customer service at another company I do business with. Also tried it to access my voice mail messages on my landline phone.

When I entered my PIN and account number on both calls, I got back a lot of "we did not recognize your input.. please try again." On several attempts, I also got back an acknowledgment that repeated back only some of the numbers I entered, and then informing me that combination did not match their records.

It's not my equipment. After all, I don't have this problem on other VoIP and softphone services I use.
