The Spanish PC market continued its rapid progression in Q2 2005, with 36.6% YTY growth across all form factors, IDC says. The buoyant performance in the Spanish PC market was set in a context of robust results across most of Western Europe, as consumers and businesses took advantage of steep ASP declines and the proliferation of entry-level PC offerings. With the Spanish PC market already enjoying healthy underlying trends, aggressive promotions on low-entry products and stronger than expected price declines generated an added boost in the market. Spain continued to enjoy fast-growing demand for notebooks, at 55.5% YTY, while desktop unit sales also continued to post strong results for the fifth quarter running.
