Novatel has informed me that the MiFi 4082 is now available from Sprint online and will be in Sprint stores on April 17th. I have been testing the MiFi for a couple of weeks and it is good solution for getting devices onto the Sprint 4G (WiMAX) network. Sprint offers the MiFi for $79.99 with a two-year commitment for service. The data plans start at $49.99.

The MiFi has performed nicely during my testing and allows up to 5 devices to connect to the Sprint 4G network over WiFi. It drops down to use the Sprint 3G (EVDO Rev. A) network when 4G coverage is not available. It runs 4 hours on a charge and can also be connected to laptops via a USB cable for connections when the battery is depleted.

The device can be configured using a web browser on any device connected to the MiFi; network settings can be tailored to the user's equipment and preferences. The MiFi 4082 has a microSD slot that can be used for shared storage of up to 32 GB. It runs the Novatel MiFi OS that brings widgets and applications to the MiFi environment.

The Sprint monthly data plan for $49.99 offers unlimited 4G connectivity and up to 5GB of 3G per month.
