Spyware, spam turning home users off the Net

While spyware has quickly turned into a key security concern for those managing corporate networks, its impact on home computer users appears more detrimental. Because of spam, spyware and related problems, about 44 percent of home computer users use email and the Web less today than they did one year ago, according to results of a sample of 241 respondents surveyed by Osterman Research in January.
