Symbol, IBM to tackle wireless

Symbol Technologies, which makes portable devices for business and industrial use, said Monday that it will work with IBM to create applications for wireless LANs (local area networks), WANs (wide area networks) and PANs (personal area networks). The two companies will also work to develop wireless e-business applications and services.
