You see lots of cynical eamil aimed at suggested policies for dealing with global warming. A new survey in Great Britain shows over 60% of voters there see the government taking advantage of the crisis. And using global warming as an excuse to raise taxes.

Heavier taxes on auto fuel and air travel produced a even split: 46% against and 45% in favor. More than two-thirds of respondents said air passenger prices would have to be triple to reduce air travel.
