The CFL kerfuffle

Here's an interesting blog on compact flourescents, a follow-up to the New York Times' hit piece on CFLs published Saturday. The Times' reporter gathered up stories from folks who found not all their CFLs worked, or lasted only a short time.

The real problem with CFLs, of course, is disposal. Each contains a bit of mercury, not the best thing to casually toss aside. As I've blogged, we await further evolution of LEDs. We need 'em ASAP.
