"The Morning Briefing" is SmartPlanet's daily roundup of must-reads from the web. This morning we're reading about mobile and online payment systems.

1.) MasterCard's PayPass Wallet will span online, mobile, in-store shopping. MasterCard WorldWide announced a digital wallet on Monday that consumers will be able to use for purchases in stores, on the Web and on their mobile phones.

2.) PayAnywhere mobile payments app and credit card reader now available in BlackBerry App World. PayAnywhere brings enterprise-grade mobile credit card processing solution backed by 24/7 customer support to BlackBerry smartphone users across the U.S.

3.) T-Mobile USA officially launches a pay-as-you-go refill app for Android devices. T-Mobile USA has announced a partnership with electronics payments provider Vesta, as it officially rolls out the T-Mobile Refill Android app, which lets pay-as-you-go customers top-up their credit directly through their Android device.

4.) Who's Ready For Mobile Payments? The U.S., Canada .. and Kenya. We are on the verge of one of the biggest changes in decades in how we pay for goods and services. For the first time since the 1980s, what we call the "form factor" - the physical device that initiates a financial transaction - will shift to new technology.

5.) More Android owners paying for items via their phones. Almost 35 percent of Android smartphone owners are now using mobile-payment apps to pay for goods and services, says research firm NPD.

Bonus: VeriFone to announce new mobile payment processing system.
