With more than 25 years in the data center business, Triaton Asia, part of Triton Germany, has developed the expertise needed to run their Singapore-based facility, which is their stepping stone into Asia.

Some of the services offered include providing a complete outsourced data center and server operation to customers, consulting services to optimize implementation and operations, and disaster recovery. To ensure the services are constantly available, they also have 24 x 7 operations and help-desk for mission-critical systems and hosting of clients' websites on Triaton 's shared servers.

While most of the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) offered by Triaton need to be tailored to each customer’s availability needs, one of the most common service offerings is remote management, where Triaton provides system administration and support of the IDC at the convenience of the customer’s office. Triaton also provides the warehousing facilities to house a customer’s Internet-related infrastructure as part of a service called aptly enough, Housing.

To round off their services, Triaton provides a full suite of solutions incorporating consulting, design, configuration, systems integration and implementation as well as ongoing management and support of a customer’s network and Internet infrastructure. Costs for these services start from around S$4,000 (US$2,222) per month per server.

When asked about the level of reliability offered. Triaton replied that this would depend on the hardware, software and networking combinations and the level of support each individual customer requires. Many clients only need 98-99% application availability. Others require 100%, but to achieve this, the customer requires a complete backup system since the main system will have to be brought down to allow for all software and hardware updates and other system changes. According to Triaton, no matter what the customer requires, they have the capabilities to handle all demands.

Continuous improvement to their systems and procedures is what Triaton feels is the key differentiator between them and their competitors. They base all customer engagements on the principles of “plan, build, run and improve”.

Triaton has consulting and integration expertise across four continents that it can utilize on customer engagement. With resources around the world, Triaton can offer customers some of the highest levels of availability in the industry at very competitive costs.
