UK public sector spending on mobile technologies to grow 400% by 2015

UK spending on mobile ICT devices by the public sector will increase by 400% over the next decade. Although annual UK investment is estimated to be about 900 mln pounds in 2004-05, spending is expected to rise to 4.3 bln pounds by 2014-15 as the market matures. Kable expects dramatic growth from a market where mobile workers already account for 1.1 mln of the public sector's 5.5 mln employees.
