UK unemployment hits 30-year-low

The total number of people unemployment fell by 13,400 from the previous month to 892,100, the first time it has slipped below the 900,000 level since September 1975, the National Statistics office said. The fall was greater than analysts' expectations of a decline of 5,000, and was the largest since June 2001.
