Verizon Wireless announces the Treo 755p device

Verizon Wireless seems to lead with devices and sometimes they lag behind Sprint a bit. Sprint has had the Treo 755p for a few months and today Palm and Verizon Wireless announced the Treo 755p as well. This is the Palm OS Garnet version of the Treo and replaces the Treo 700p that Verizon Wireless currently sells. The 755p is available for as low as US$299.99 with new activation or US$579 without any plan.

The Verizon Wireless Treo 755p is the same device as the Sprint and Alltel device that runs Palm OS 5.4.9 powered by an Intel XScale 312 MHz processor with 128 MB ROM (60 MB available), integrated Bluetooth 1.2, EV-DO wireless network support, and 1.3 megapixel camera. The Verizon model is also Azure Green while Sprint has Burgundy and Blue models. The only real difference between the 700p and the 755p is the loss of the external antenna and a bit sleeker form factor. The rest of the specs remain virtually the same.
