Making it big-time on the high street...
Europe's largest mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse has finally made a space on its shelves for Virgin Mobile. Virgin Mobile - its operating network previously available over the internet, the companies own retail outlets and WHSmith - is now ready to enjoy a large high street presence, after several attempts to secure a deal in the past. The company said in a statement that yesterday's deal will attract higher-value customers who head straight for the Carphone Warehouse. A similar deal with high street retailer Dixsons is expected to be announced soon. Virgin Mobile now has 1.2 million customers and is one of the fastest growing operators.
