Vodafone launches Internet paging

Flex pagers now do emailFor the few people left still using pagers, Vodafone (quote: VOD ) has launched its Internet Paging Services.

This follows Wednesday's launch of the Vodafone Interactive mobile content service and a free ISP.

The service allows email messages to be sent to owners of the company's Flex pagers.

Messages can be sent from a PC using any standard email software by adding @paging.vodafone.net to the end of the pager number. Alternatively, messages can be sent from Vodfone's dedicated Web site. Messages are limited to 240 characters.
