Warner Bros. Digital Distribution (WBDD) today announced the action comedy series Aim High will debut on Facebook. Produced by Warner Premiere and Dolphin Entertainment, the company is calling it "the first-ever social series from a Hollywood studio."
The Facebook aspect will allow you to include your profile information (photos, text, and friends) by installing the Facebook app on the show's page. If you chose to do this, you will get a personalized viewing mode that will allow you to see yourself or your friends integrated into select scenes throughout the series. For example, your photo can appear on a student body election poster, or your name may be seen as graffiti on the bathroom wall.
The first episode will air on October 18 over on the official Facebook Page. The show stars Jackson Rathbone (Twilight), Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights), and Greg Germann (Ally McBeal).
Six months ago, Warner. Bros started testing streaming movies for rent on Facebook with The Dark Knight. It then added five more movies: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Inception, Life as We Know It, and Yogi Bear. It looks like today the movie studio wants to try a Facebook show.
Aim High is the story of Nick Green, a young man leading a double life – juggling his studies by day and serving as a government operative by night. He is just starting a new school year as one of the country's 64 highly trained teenage operatives, where he is also dreaming of Amanda Miles, the most popular girl in school. Amanda mercilessly flirts with Nick, but she has an overly protective boyfriend named Derek who threatens Nick for even looking at her.
Aim High is a Warner Premiere and Dolphin Entertainment series from Director/Producer McG, Wonderland Sound and Vision. The Executive Producer is Peter Murrieta, but Mary Viola, Andy Shapiro, Jackson Rathbone, Bill O'Dowd, Jim Henrie, and Philip von Alvensleben also serve as Executive Producers. The series is written and created by Heath Corson and Richie Keen who also serve as Executive Producers, directed by Thor Freudenthal, as well as produced by Lance Sloane and McG.

"This effort takes video distribution to a whole new level by making the actual viewing experience personal and social in a truly innovative and entertaining way."
