"Net Neutrality" packs a lot of punch. After all, who would want to be against "neutrality" in any area? The deft turn of a phrase itself, however, is not neutral; it aims to sway, rather than merely describe.

Emotion-laden phraseology is a powerful weapon in public debate and "Net Neutrality" is but the latest example of its power in action. Other examples:

  • Death Tax vs. Estate Tax
  • Entitlements vs. Social Security Benefits
