Windows 7: Does the silence help anyone?
If I'm a Windows XP customer I want to know if it's worth skipping Vista and waiting for Windows 7, which is expected in late 2009--or just 18 months or so away.
Microsoft is Fort Knox when it comes to details about Windows 7, but if you're a customer the radio silence isn't helpful.

To me, the skip Vista question is a big one. On Thursday, I did a little video with Ed Bott and Mary Jo Foley on the topic. Both Ed and Mary Jo talked about the information lockdown surrounding Windows 7 and who benefits from such a strategy.
