A year and a half after Microsoft launched Windows 7, Microsoft has revealed it has now sold more than 350 million licences for its latest operating system.
Analysts at Gartner predict that Windows 7 will be running on 43 per cent of PCs by the end 2011.
In October last year Microsoft said that Windows 7 was its fastest selling operating system ever, at which point Windows 7 had sold 240 million licences.
Windows 7 followed Windows Vista, which was skipped by many businesses who chose instead to upgrade straight from Windows XP to Windows 7.
