Lost amongst the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 shuffle yesterday, Yahoo! Messenger for the iPhone was updated with a few new nifty features - namely video chat.
Users of this communication app can now make voice and video calls over both 3G and Wi-Fi networks.
While this app can only be run on an iPhone running iOS 4.1 (bring on multitasking!), the iPhone owner can make video calls to friends or colleagues using a PC with a webcam or an Android smartphone so long as there is a front-facing camera.
Like most VoIP programs, calls between Yahoo! Messenger members are free. Cheaper international calls are also available using a Yahoo! Voice Phone Out account...if you live in the United States, France, Spain, Germany or Singapore.
The app itself is free and available to download from iTunes now.
