ZDNet UK: there is, as they say, an app for that

It's small, it's simple, it does one job well - and it's ours. And you can make it yours.

It's small, it's simple, it does one job well - and it's ours. And you can make it yours. The ZDNet UK iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad app is now available for download from the App Store, at our favourite price point: free.

That one job is reading ZDNet UK on the move. Fire up the app, and it'll sync with our site, pulling down the latest stories, reviews and blogs. They're kept for you to browse even when disconnected. While you're connected, you can also look at our photo galleries and search the site, giving you fifteen years of archives for research, fact-checking or unashamedly tech-heavy entertainment.

Go on, have a look. Then come back here. We need to talk.

Like it? Good. As we said, it's free. But there is a catch.

We have a lot of other features we'd like to add - writing blogs, adding comments, even auto-embedding pictures you take in your blog, and that's just for starters. We'd like an Android version, too, and perhaps something interesting for tablets.

We will do all this and more - nobody stands still in this game - but which to do first?

This is where you come in. The more popular the app is, the more time we can devote to making it better. The more feedback we have, the better we can plan our upgrade path, and the quicker you'll have something even more useful and enjoyable.

So: please review the app in the App Store - although if you really hate it, let us know too. And tell us what you'd like next, or what you'd like tuned in this version.

But mostly, just install it and give it a spin. It's there to be used.
