JVC has two new pocket-sized HD camcorders within the Picsio line to introduce today. Both the GC-FM2 and the GC-WP10 are set to roll out in September with some reasonable price tags and interesting specs.

Let's cover the shared specs first. Both of the JVC Picsio camcorders host rear 3-inch touchscreens, 4x digital zoom record full HD 1080p at 30fps video, shoot 5-megapixel stills, and are compatible with Eye-Fi SD cards.

That last one will be important if you want to take advantage of the easy uploading functions on the fly. Both camcorders include LoiLoScope EX for Windows preloaded for some basic editing and direct uploading to Facebook and YouTube. Note that both models are compatible with Mac systems as well, notably using iMovie.

The differences are actually few. The GC-WP10 (pictured below) is actually waterproof up to 10 feet/3 meters. Summer will be running out in most places by launch time, but don't forget about snowy adventures around the corner. The GC-FM2 lacks this feature, but it does retain a slide-out USB connector, meaning that no connecting cable is needed.

When the JVC Picsio video cameras are released next month, the GC-FM2 and the GC-WP10 will retail for $179.95 and $199.95 respectively.
