After what seems like a roller coaster of shipping announcements and delays, Plastic Logic finally seems ready to ship the QUE proReader this summer.

After debuting at CES 2010, the future looked good for Plastic Logic and its Que e-reader device. But maybe it only looked good on the outside, as Plastic Logic announced a delay to the originally intended April release.

Now, Engadget is reporting that the QUE will finally get its release on June 24. Not much explanation has been given for the push back except technical difficulties, given that developers before said they want buyers to get the "optimal experience."

Thus, The Que has definitely kept people waiting - but have they been kept waiting too long? Many more e-readers will be out by then, including the 3G-enabled edition of the iPad, so long as it doesn't fry in the sun.
