Every once and a while a news article pops up referring to the now ancient attempted bank heist at the London branch of Sumitomo Mitsui Bank.
The one thing that should occur to anyone who is concerned with bank security especially in London is: "Where are the criminals that installed keystroke loggers on machines inside the bank office?"
The only reported arrests in this case occurred in Israel. There were evidently bank robbers who infiltrated the branch to install hardware keystroke loggers.
Think of it. There could be as many as a dozen members of a bank robbing gang who are very familiar with this type of attack, who know what mistakes not to make, who perhaps got away cleanly from what almost became the biggest bank robbery in history by a factor of 20. You would assume they are plotting their next attack or even carrying it out right now.
Are you a banker? Have you talked to Sumitomo? Have you been in touch with law enforcement in London? Have they provided pictures, descriptions of suspects? What is going on?
