Dell cuts OptiPlex prices again
Dell has reduced prices on its corporate desktops again, making it the fourth cut in five months and pushing its claim as the strongest player in Pentium Pro desktops.
Up to 17 per cent has been lopped off the OptiPlex line with the GXpro 200 now coming in at £2,335 + VAT (down £470) for a 200MHz Pentium Pro-based system with 32Mb RAM, 2Gb hard drive and 15-inch monitor.
A 166MHz Pentium-based OptiPlex GL166 with 16Mb RAM, 1Gb hard drive and 14-inch screen costs £1,459 + VAT.
