Japan Telecom posted a loss for the six months ending in September. Harsh price competition on fixed-line prices was blamed for the loss. Japan Telecom turned a Y6.9bn (£56m) profit a year ago into a Y5.2bn loss (£42m). The telco also wrote off Y13b costs associated with its mobile unit, J-Phone, according to the Financial Times.
