Iomega slapped with suit by customers
Iomega has confirmed that it has been issued with a class action suit claiming warranty violation. The complaint was filed by a group of Iomega customers in the Delaware Court of Chancery, in the US.
The suit claims a breach of the Magnuson-Moss Consumer Products Warranties Act and the Delaware Consumer Fraud Act. According to Iomega, the claimed violations were based on alleged breaches of Iomega's Zip, Jaz and Ditto product warranties and on the company's technical support charges.
Iomega said that it is currently investigating the claims.
