Net2Room showcases broadband Internet solutions for hoteliers

Singapore, 12 April 2000 -- Net2Room, launched early this year, is showcasing its broadband Internet solutions to the hospitality industry in Asia at the Food & Hotel Asia show 11-14 April, held at the Singapore Expo.

A joint venture of four companies - Aztech Systems, Somerset Holdings Limited, AVSdotcom Pte Ltd and StartUps.com Pte Ltd - Net2Room offers broadband data access at speeds 50 times faster than a dial-up connection.

Net2Room aims to give business travelers, for the first time, high-speed 24-hour Internet access right from the comfort of their rooms.

Said Mr Michael Mun, CEO of Net2Room: "I am sure it will deliver a significant advantage for hoteliers in the web-centered market. They can augment their existing guest services by providing broadband Internet access to their guests. We are also offering a totally hassle-free solution that uses the hotels' and service apartments' existing telephone (PABX) infrastructure."

At Food and Hotel Asia 2000, Net2Room is showcasing its full range of services, including how installed PCs can be used as an e-commerce portal and to handle an easy-to-use messaging system, PC games, MP3 music and Internet telephony.
